The City of White Plains Youth Bureau Awarded 5-Year Grant to Launch Free After-School Programs

The White Plains Youth Bureau will launch its 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLCs) at five elementary schools (Church Street School; Ridgeway Elementary; Mamaroneck Avenue School; Post Road School; George Washington Elementary) and two community centers (Slater Community Center and Passage for Excellence) in White Plains. The Youth Bureau’s 21st CCLC program will be called the STEAM Academy (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) and will focus on providing related academic enrichment to participants to help them develop skills to succeed academically and professionally in the 21st Century.
